Découpage Workshop

Découpage is the process of gluing paper, fabric, or other printed material onto a surface using layers of adhesive for the purpose of decoration. It is a very old practice with a fascinating history. Come play with us and try your hand at this papercraft where we will decorate some seasonally themed items, just in time for Spooky Season! 

Be sure to arrive early and visit the historic house and grounds. Admission to these is by donation.

🏛️ 🍃 Location: Point Ellice House Museum & Gardens, 2616 Pleasant Street, Victoria, BC  

🎟️ Tickets are $30 per person.

Includes:  

  • Brief introduction to the history and process of découpage. 
  • Access to a variety of tissue papers and decorative napkins to découpage with. You may also bring your own paper napkins if you like!! 
  • Enough time and materials to decorate three items: one little ghost (pre-made for you out of air-dry clay), one candleholder, and one miniature plastic pumpkin! (Battery-powered candle is not included.) 

Winter Wreath Workshop

Join us for a winter wreath making workshop at Point Ellice House using freshly harvested greenery from the historic gardens! This is a very popular workshop that tends to sell out quickly. Don’t miss out! Reserve your spot today. 

We’ll be working outside so please be sure to dress warmly. In the case of rain, we will have outdoor tents set up.  Be sure to arrive early and visit the historic house and grounds. Admission to these is by donation.

  • Instruction provided by staff and volunteers in our historic garden setting. 
  • Enough time and materials to create one medium sized wreath using fresh greenery.  
  • We will have optional bows for purchase ($5) and a free bow tying demonstration.
