Information for Researchers

Point Ellice House welcomes those interested in studying our collections. From archival records and textiles to archaeological finds, researchers from a number of backgrounds will find something of interest.

Although the majority of archival records (diaries, correspondence, images) of the O’Reilly family were transferred to the BC Archives, we have a small library of research conducted about the house, building conservation, the O’Reilly family, household artifacts, the gardens and landscape, and archaeology from the past fifty years. This library is accessible to researchers and the public by appointment.

To access our collections, please contact us to book an appointment and receive information about our policies and procedures.
