What is the admission rate for the gardens and grounds?
The gardens, grounds, and Visitor Centre are free to enter and open to the public during our operating hours.

How long does a tour take?
Tours take about 30 to 45 minutes, depending on the curiosity of our visitors!

Is Point Ellice House accessible for persons with disabilities?
Point Ellice House and the Visitor Centre are accessible to persons with mobility aids. The gardens and lawn are also accessible via a hard-packed gravel path.

An accessible washroom is located inside the Visitor Centre. There is one accessible parking stall located beside the Visitor Centre main entrance. Unfortunately, only the side entrance to the Visitor Centre is accessible for wheelchairs at this time – signage directs visitors to this entrance.

The Visitor Centre loft and the Gorge ferry dock are not wheelchair accessible.

We welcome service animals and support persons. Support animals/persons are not charged a fee for entry.

Is parking available for large groups?
Parking is available for fifteen cars, including one accessible stall. A limited number of street parking spots are available. Public transit, carpooling, taxi service, or water taxi service is advised for large groups.

Can I book Point Ellice House for my private event?
Point Ellice House itself is not open to private events due to the historic and protected nature of the house and its contents. However, the Visitor Centre and Gorge-View Lawn are available for events. Please see our Events and Site Rental page for details.
