Up at 5 – Went up the river in canoe
with Green & defined reserve – left Glendale Cove at 7-45 & steamed
to Turnour Island – Village &
Gilford Islands – marked reserves
for each – also “Dead point” – &
Potlatch at Village Island.
Grave yard on Sail Island –
Anchored in Grebe Island
Cove – Bonwick Island 6-30
Sunday 3
Left Grebe Cove at 7- AM – fine
morning Arrived at Alert Bay at
9-30. Pidcock came on board
& handed me two letters fr. Tuck
re obstructions to survey at Metlakatla
to which I sent a reply.
Heavy rain – called on Revd. & Mrs.
Hall – & afterwards went to
service in the Indian church.
Pidcock dined & lunched on board.
