Very warm day – went to “Nepa”
on McLeods hand car. McLeod
Green, & [illegible] Neild accompanying.
Had two long interviews with
the Indians – Moustache Jim
Big Jim Dick &c &c. Marked
[illegible deletion] out new reserve
in lieu of Nepa & had consent of all – paid
Moustache Jim $250- for [Horse]
Fences water rights &c &c.

Thursday 20

Fine day – Drove in Buggy
supplied by Tingley to Ashcroft.
Spent a pleasant day with Henry
[& Mrs] Cornwall – all well – the place
looking very pretty, but very quiet.
Got back to Ashcroft at 7-PM.
Drummond & Beaumont
spent the evening with us.
Slept on board the “Eva”.
