Dear Sweet Miss OReilly

I have not heard from you for so long that I am sending you a little reminder of an old Friend who remembers you so well & would so much like to see you again.

I hope you will have a happy Xmas & that you may have many many more I do hope & wish for you a bright happy New Year with God’s blessing all thro’ it.

I have my sailor son home . he was ill but is now ever so much better & I daresay will now soon be going to sea again. he told me he had heard from you not long ago. & that perhaps you might come to England again ere very long. I am so glad.
