Transfer Carriage 5 ½ hours.
Raining – Drove to town accompanied
by Carry – had 2 hours interview with
Sir John, very satisfactory in all
respects. He promised me leave
of absence & to see that Tuck was
not forced upon me &c &c.
Carry went for a drive with Lady Mac.

Tuesday 10

Transfer Co.
In Office early – Carry took
Lady Mac for a drive to
Esquimalt & Naval semetry.
She an Miss Reifenstein
lunched with us & afterwards
went to dine with Julia.
Haynes & wife called.
