The Gorge-View Lawn and Visitor Centre Loft are available for event bookings.

The Loft

The Loft is a comfortable space located up the stairs above the Visitor Centre. This space has seating for about 22 people. It offers a secluded meeting or presentation space with tables, chairs, casement windows, two wing chairs, and a love seat sofa. Wireless internet and a projector screen for presentations are also included. This space is available during our operating hours. Bookings for non-operating hours are possible – contact info@PointElliceHouse.com to inquire.

Unfortunately this space is not wheelchair accessible. Washrooms are located below in the Visitor Centre. Food is permitted in the Loft. You may use an outside caterer if food is prepared off site.

Rates:

  • $30.00/hour, with set up and take down fee of $15.00/half hour if required
  • Non-profit organization: $20/hour with set up and take down fee of $10.00/half hour if required.

A deposit of 25% of the total rental fee is required to secure the location and date. A notice of cancellation must be received a minimum of 5 business days prior to the booking to receive a refund on your deposit. A refundable damage deposit of $100.00 is also required.

Gorge-View Lawn

The Gorge-View Lawn is ideal for small weddings, reunions, and other outside-oriented gatherings. The site can accommodate up to 150 persons. Bookings are available for any day of the week from May 1st to September 30th. Rental includes use of our Gorge Waterway dock, site power, a medium-sized event tent, use of our Visitor Centre washroom, and exclusive access to the lawn. Point Ellice House requires catered events and weddings to use Truffles Catering services.

Rates:

  • 8am to 11am: $600.00
  • 11am to 4pm: $1000.00
  • 4pm to 8pm: $800.00
  • All day (8am to 8pm): $2000.00

A deposit of 25% of the total rental fee is required to secure the location and date. A notice of cancellation must be received a minimum of 15 business days prior to the event to receive a refund on your deposit. A refundable damage deposit of $500.00 is also required. There may be a set-up and take down fee depending upon the requirements of the event.
